The word salvation means deliverance or liberation. Man's problem is sin; he has gone against the holy character of God and come short of God's glory (Rom.3:23). Salvation is therefore the total work of God in bringing men from the state of sin to the state of glory through Jesus Christ.
God's Plan of Salvation
Because all have sinned (Rom. 3:23) and are therefor lost (Luke 19:10; rom. 6:23), God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in there place (Rom. 5:8: 1cor. 15:1-4). Whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but live with Him forever (John 3:16) after an abundant life of rich blessing on the earth (John 10:10).
